The Role
As the HR Assistant you’ll be excited by the challenge of being part of a studio that has people at the heart of everything we do. This is a detail-oriented, service-focused role supporting the People team and helping create the conditions that enable our team to do the best work of their careers. team. We are looking with someone who has prior HR experience within California.

Your Responsibilities
Supporting recruitment by preparing offer letters, coordinating onboarding documentation, verifying I-9 employment eligibility, and assisting with new hire onboarding.
Acting as a point of contact for new employees during their onboarding process to welcome them and answer any questions they may have.
Supporting managers with scheduling meetings, coordinating introductory meetings, and assisting with HR communications through our HR platform.
Assisting with maintenance of employee information in the HR system, including PTO tracking, sick leave, onboarding, and offboarding documentation.
Organizing and maintaining personnel files and ensuring employee records are accurate and compliant with U.S. and California employment regulations.
Supporting the onboarding and administration of temporary, freelance, and project-based employees, ensuring appropriate documentation, agreements, and onboarding steps are completed prior to work commencing.
Assisting with freelancer and production staffing coordination, including tracking start and end dates, supporting extensions, and ensuring documentation is completed before work begins.
Assisting employees with general questions regarding benefits, policies, and HR processes.
Working with the HR Team to ensure company policies remain current and compliant with U.S. and
California employment laws.Preparing HR reports and headcount information as required.
Processing incoming HR mail, actioning routine items appropriately and escalating time-sensitive or
action-required matters to the HR Manager/Head of PeopleSupporting the administration and execution of learning and development initiatives and People programs.
Salary range: $28-$29 per hour
